Cornerstone University of Florida is not regionally or nationaly accredited. CUF is registered and authorized to grant degrees by the State of Florida Department of Education – Commission for Independent Education.
This university is authorized by the Commission for Independent Education (CIE), Florida Board of Education (FBE) for Professional and or Vocational Education (Chapter 1005.06 (1) (F), Florida Statutes and 1005.04
The Commission for Independent Education has statutory responsibilities in matters relating to nonpublic, post-secondary, educational institutions. In keeping with the Florida Department of Education’s goal of producing a seamless educational system, some of these functions include consumer protection, program improvement, institutional policies and administration, data management, and the licensure of independent schools, colleges and universities.
If a prospective interested in pursuing an accredited degree, then look elswhere and CUF is not for you.
Cornerstone University of Florida is a certified higher education institution member of the Council of Private Colleges of America, Inc., (CPCA) which represents its member’s independent colleges and universities before any government agency.
The CPCA is an educational association that provides experienced educational quality peer review of the following: faculty, academic curriculum, course development, distance learning process, campus operation, student records, and transcripts, to CPCA standards which exceed the minimum standards of the State of Florida.
Cornerstone University of Florida – Early Christian Childhood Education program is recognized and listed as an approved Florida ECE Training Institution by the Council for Professional Recognition (CDA).
The Council for Professional Recognition promotes improved performance and recognition of professionals in the early childhood education of children ages birth to 5 years old.

Accreditation is strictly a voluntary decision and is basically an organized way of determining the acceptance of credits or degrees from any particular institution. Since academic recognition is a continual process, the administration, faculty, and staff of CUF have made a commitment to provide the highest quality standards of education without compromise, to the Biblical-based philosophies of education.
CUF makes no guarantee of the acceptance of CUF credits to other institutions except those certified by the Council for Private Colleges and Seminaries. Transfer of credits from CUF to other institutions of learning is solely up to the discretion and desire of the institution where the student is applying. If that is to be the case, students are encouraged to inquire how the educational institution into which they plan to transfer to concerning the transferability of credits received through any another institution in advance of enrollment
